New Dashboard Commercials Bring Ad Breaks To Your 360

As many of you have no doubt probably seen by now if you’ve been connected to Xbox Live, Microsoft’s new dashboard advertisements have begun appearing for Xbox 360 owners.

Rather than the standard, static advertisements you’re used to seeing, these bring running commercials to your 360, in some cases complete with video and, more annoyingly, sound. You can see an example of one running in this video here.

First Microsoft retail stores to open this fall

22.07.2009

From cnet.com (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10287499-56.html ):
[QUOTE]
Microsoft confirmed on Wednesday that it is planning to open its first stores this fall, with at least some of the locations likely to be right near an Apple store.

“As we progress on our retail strategy there will be scenarios where we have stores in proximity to Apple,” a representative told CNET News. “We are on track to open stores in the fall time frame.”

The fall timing is not surprising. One would assume Microsoft would want to have the stores open in time for Windows 7’s October 22 retail launch and for the holiday selling season.

I’m hearing that Microsoft will open a few stores this fall, with more coming in 2010.

Adam Thole’s Tilt Board v3 - Source Code

22.07.2009

From adamthole.com (http://www.adamthole.com/?p=233 ):
[QUOTE]
I am releasing my source code for Tilt Board v3. It is released for personal use only. Please contact me if you would like to use any part of it commercially. The project files were written in C using the Source Boost IDE (http://sourceboost.com/ ) and the BoostC compiler. It was originally written for a Microchip PIC16F88 microcontroller, but should be easily modified to work with most microcontrollers. I tried to comment the code well to make it easy to understand. The download includes the C source code files and the compiled hex file. The source will allow you to make your own modifications, and the hex will allow you to program your own PIC without the trouble of setting up the compiler.

This completes the information I have to release about the Tilt Board v3. You should now be able to make your own and modify the code to suit your needs. If you need any help, make any improvements to my code, or just like what I am doing please e-mail me and let me know. Have fun!
